The patio door by the kitchen needed a shelf to hold items while opening the door. The shelf needed to be strong in case a guest decided to lean against it. Further it needed to be repairable if damaged, without having to pull out a built-in Sub Zero refrigerator. Tradition would have had screws inserted thru the wall into the shelf, or a bracket for support. Invis allowed the design I used. Further, I can remove the shelf if I need to maintain the nearby window.
